✨ Unsure how to style your kiddo’s twin bed? ✨ Don ✨ Unsure how to style your kiddo’s twin bed? ✨
Don’t feel limited by the “one standard pillow sham” look. Even a twin bed can feel chic and pulled-together with the right pillow layering!

One of my favorite ways to add personality to a child’s room is through throw pillows — they’re easy to swap, fun to mix, and instantly make a bed feel styled (not just slept in 😉).

Here’s my tip: stick to a color palette 🎨 but don’t be afraid to play with *patterns* — a solid, a bold pattern, and a small pattern create the perfect mix.

Check out this carousel for my go-to pillow setups for twin beds 💡💤

The number one tip I give to my clients when desig The number one tip I give to my clients when designing a nursery?

✨Skip the cutesy baby themes—design a nursery they can grow into.

When you’re preparing for a new baby, it’s so tempting to go all-in on baby animals, pastel patterns, or a super specific “theme.” But here’s the thing: those newborn days fly by, and before you know it, you’ve got a toddler, then a preschooler, and suddenly the space feels outdated.

Here’s how to make your nursery last beyond the newborn stage ⤵️

1️⃣ Choose a versatile color palette – Stick with neutrals or timeless colors you’ll love for years. You can always layer in baby accents with art, pillows, or décor.

2️⃣ Invest in long-term furniture – Instead of a full nursery set, go for pieces that transition: a convertible crib, a dresser that doubles as a changing table, a rocker that feels like a cozy accent chair later.

3️⃣ Add “baby” in the details– Think peel and stick wallpaper, bedding, or small décor. These are easy (and affordable) to swap as your little one grows.

4️⃣ Leave space to evolve – Toddlers need storage, preschoolers want play space, and big kids want study areas. Planning for flexibility now saves you from a total redesign later.

✨ A nursery that grows with your child = less stress, less waste, and more joy as the room evolves with your family.

✨ Most kids are anything but vanilla—so why should ✨ Most kids are anything but vanilla—so why should their rooms be? ✨
Too often, builder-grade bedrooms leave little ones with white walls, boring lights, and zero personality. But kids deserve spaces that feel as fun and unique as they are!

The good news? You don’t need a full renovation to get there. A few thoughtful updates—like lighting, wall treatments, or even something as simple as hardware—can completely transform a blank slate into a space your child actually loves spending time in.

When it comes to nursery design, the paint color you choose sets the entire mood for your baby’s space. A soft, calming shade helps create a serene environment where your little one can rest, relax, and (🤞) sleep soundly.

We can always bring in those bright, playful colors during the toddler years—but for the nursery, think soothing, gentle, and peaceful. 🌿💤

The tricky part? There are thousands of nursery paint colors out there, and picking “the one” can feel overwhelming. As a children’s interior designer, I’ve sifted through so many shades and narrowed it down to my top 5 calming paint colors to make your decision easier.

💡 Save this post if you’re planning your nursery, or share it with your favorite mom-to-be—you’ll both thank me later! 💛

This reel shows one of my favorite recent projects: a teenage girl’s bedroom that started as a sketch ➡️ became a soft watercolor ➡️ and finally transformed into a realistic 3D design. She wanted a feminine, timeless look with classic prints and a soft pink + green palette 🌸💚

Design takes time—from planning to final details—but when it all comes together, it’s magic 💫

✨ This is why I design kids’ rooms only✨ When I f ✨ This is why I design kids’ rooms only✨

When I first started this business, it was just a little side hustle while I was still teaching 👩‍🏫. I took on small projects—bedrooms, living rooms, quick refreshes. Eventually, it grew into everything…even full new-build homes!

But somewhere along the way, I started to feel burned out. I was saying “yes” to every project—even the ones that didn’t light me up. After some deep digging, I realized the spaces that always made me the happiest were the ones designed for kids 💡.

Fast forward 4 years ➡️ I made the decision to niche down and focus only on children’s spaces—and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Now I get to combine my love of design with my love of working with kids. 💕

Kids’ rooms are full of creativity, personality, and fun 🖍️🎈—and I feel like I can truly serve my clients better by staying in this lane.

So yes, I design only kids’ rooms. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. 💫
